Everything to see and do at the Betfred Super League Grand Final

Saturday promises to be a great occasion as the biggest the night in the Betfred Super League lands at Old Trafford and there is plenty for fans to see and do ahead of kick-off (6pm)…

Dacia Fan Zone

Fans are encouraged to arrive at Old Trafford early and enjoy the atmosphere in the build up to kick-off.

The Dacia Fan Zone, by the North West corner of the stadium, will be open from 1pm with a live DJ, competitions and giveaways from Super League partners including Dacia, Betfred, Northern, Patient Claim Line, Batchelors and Odd Balls.

Fans can also visit the Our League stand to join if you’re not already a member. There will also be a chance for Our League members to win tickets to England v France on 17 October.

The RL Cares Man Van, operated in association with the Movember Foundation, will also be in attendance offering Rugby League fans the chance to get involved in fun and interesting activities designed to get men engaging with their health. 

From 3pm, Alex Simmons and JJB will be your hosts in the Dacia Fan Zone as they build up to the big game with live music, competitions and special guests.

There will also be a variety of food & drink stalls around the Fan Zone to get some pre-match food and drink before heading into the stadium.

Team Arrivals

The team buses are due to arrive at Old Trafford between 4pm-4:30pm* and fans are encouraged to gather at the South West corner of the ground, near the Munich Tunnel to cheer the teams as they arrive and maybe get a selfie with their favourite player.

Make sure you get to your seat in plenty of time, the stadium recommend you enter the ground at least one hour before kick-off due to security & bag checks in place on match days.

Your host for the afternoon will be BBC Sport’s Will Perry who will bring you coverage of all the build-up including footage of teams arriving, the coin toss and interviews with both coaches. From 5:25pm Perry will be joined by JJB for the pre-match show.

The teams will take to the field from 5:15pm for the big match warm-ups before Blossoms take to the stage as the build-up to kick-off reaches it’s pinnacle.

Just before the teams enter the arena, sporting Soprano, Laura Wright with leading a rousing rendition of Jerusalem, the traditional Grand Final hymn.

Half-time

Once the team head to the sheds for half-time, Blossoms will rock the crowd with a further two song set. Whilst on-pitch, there will be presentations and celebrations for Warrington Wolves PDRL team, who recently won the World Club Challenge in Sydney against the Rabbitohs, and the winning team from Saturday afternoon’s Women’s Super League Grand Final between Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors.
